Rahul Shah is a Director at USIIC and a seasoned executive at AAR, a leading global aviation services company. He joined AAR in 1991 as a Development Engineer for AAR Engine Component Services in New York and Connecticut.
Demonstrating exceptional skill and a knack for leadership, Mr. Shah quickly advanced within the company, assuming the role of Program Manager where he oversaw sales and marketing for the engine component repair business.
In 2000, Mr. Shah was appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AAR’s Asia Pacific region, and by 2002, he had risen to Managing Director of Asia Pacific Operations. Under his direction, the business in the region grew sevenfold, a testament to his technical expertise and sharp business acumen.
Currently serving as Senior Vice President, Mr. Shah now focuses on expanding AAR’s operations in Africa, India, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific. From his base in Singapore, he manages operations, sales, and marketing efforts across these regions, continually enhancing AAR’s global presence.
Mr. Shah is highly qualified, holding a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business, Finance, and Marketing. His comprehensive education and vast experience equip him to devise strategic programs for AAR's diverse global customer base. An accomplished executive, he excels in startup operations, growth planning, managing international businesses, and leading new business development in both commercial and defense aviation worldwide.
