USIIC Milestones
The first trade delegation organized by the United States India Importers' Council (USIIC) to the USA took place from September 29 to October 5, 2012, marking a significant step in fostering direct business dialogues between Indian and U.S. companies.
The Bengaluru Chapter of USIIC was inaugurated on March 11, 2013, in the presence of Mr. James Golsen, Principal Commercial Officer of the US Consulate, Chennai, enhancing regional engagement and support for businesses in South India.
On September 29, 2013, USIIC organized its second trade delegation to the USA, continuing to build on the council's efforts to strengthen bilateral trade and investment channels.
The Pune Chapter of USIIC was launched on November 22, 2013, alongside a strategic MOU signing with WTC Pune, catalyzing business exchanges and cooperation between Indian and U.S. entities in the region.
The Delhi Chapter of USIIC was officially launched by H.E. U.S. Ambassador Nancy Powell at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, significantly boosting USIIC's presence in India's capital and facilitating central governmental engagements.
USIIC expanded its footprint with the launch of its Ahmedabad Chapter on January 10, 2015, further extending its network to support businesses in Gujarat, a key economic hub.
USIIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Asia North American Business Council (ANABC) on June 21, 2016, focusing on economic and trade exchanges and cooperation.
The Hyderabad Chapter of USIIC was launched on December 6, 2016, expanding the council’s reach in one of India's most dynamic regions for technology and innovation.
USIIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Analytical Instruments Association on September 28, 2017, to foster collaboration and advance analytical instrument technology and policy.
USIIC entered a strategic partnership with the International Trade Administration to enhance U.S. trade and investment activities.
On January 31, 2018, USIIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the People of Indian Origin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PIOCCI), enhancing collaboration and cooperative efforts to bolster Indo-US economic and commercial ties.
The U.S.-India Importers' Council (USIIC) celebrated the inauguration of their new headquarters on February 16, 2024, located at Chembur, Mumbai.
